Harvest Kitchen was pleased to host a group from Southside Community Land Trust’s Youth Employment Program, giving a tour of our commercial kitchen and local-foods café, and discussing sustainability and food waste reduction on local farms through increased production of value-added products using locally sourced ingredients. The visit culminated in some hands-on learning in the kitchen!

The Downtown Farmers Market in Providence takes place on Washington St in Kennedy Plaza every Tuesday, 3–6pm, through October 30! In addition to local farms and food trucks, the market features our Healthy Foods, Healthy Families programming in English and Spanish, plus weekly family-friendly activities at the Imagination Center by Kidoinfo — brought to you in partnership with the Downtown Providence Parks Conservancy.
