Harvest Kitchen: Changing Lives, One Apple at a Time

Meet Harvest Kitchen, Farm Fresh RI’s culinary job training program and local foods café that is transforming lives and our food system. Located in downtown Pawtucket, the front of house is a local foods café. The welcoming space serves affordable, tasty, nutritious, and locally sourced meals. The back of house is a commercial kitchen that houses Harvest Kitchen’s processing operations and job training program designed for underserved teens. Market Mobile Gets a New Ordering Platform

Since 2020, we have been working with RI-based developers Jake and Co. to both support the existing Market Mobile platform — now over 10 years old! — and build a new technology platform for Market Mobile’s future. This much needed upgrade makes ordering and check-out easier for shoppers and gives farmers and food producers streamlined tools to connect with a variety of customers. You are invited to watch renowned stone carver Nicholas Benson create a unique art installation for our new headquarters in Providence. Feeding Our Community in Need

With the recent development of the “Farm to Food Pantry” grant, 28 different local organizations and food pantries partnered to purchase locally grown food for those most vulnerable in our community through Market Mobile! We are thankful to the generous funders for making this possible: The Rhode Island Community Food Bank, The Providence Healthy Communities Office, The Rhode Island Foundation, and The Amica Companies Foundation.
