Throughout the month, our Farm to School and Community Education team will be sharing information about the importance of Farm to School and ways to get involved.
Why is Farm to School important for the growth of our communities?
It enriches the connection communities have with fresh, nutritious food and local growers/producers by changing food purchasing and education practices at schools and early care and education sites. Farm to school is implemented in a variety of ways, unique to each community, which could take the form of food procurement, education, or school gardens, or a combination of the three!
