FARM TO INSTITUTION NEW ENGLAND (FINE)
FINE has released a new report (with our very own Alexandre Mendonca on the cover!) outlining four recommendations to enhance collaboration between food hubs and increase the sale of local food to institutions in New England. The report follows research conducted by Karen Karp & Partners (KK&P) for FINE in 2017 to assess specific opportunities for local farm and food businesses (including food hubs) in the institutional market, and develop a model for New England food hubs to partner with each other in a trade network.
Easy Entertaining Farmers Market Dinner
Join Easy Entertaining Inc, a local farm-to-fork cafe and catering collaborative, on Thursday April 19th for their Spring Farmers Market Dinner! This four-course dinner will feature the best of what’s seasonally available right now in Rhode Island. Easy Entertaining’s chefs will curate their menu after shopping at tomorrow’s Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers Market, and each course will be paired with hand-selected wines from The Savory Grape Wine Shop. The dinner will be held at Easy Entertaining’s Cafe in Providence. Tickets are $99 per guest, all-inclusive, and reservations are required. Check out the sample menu for this dinner.
