April 2 & 9 — Should You Add A New Product Line?
Should you add a new product line to your farm business? Sometimes we are tempted to try to do it all! But does adding a new product or crop make sense for your business?
Making this decision requires understanding what the new product would cost to produce (including your labor and overhead costs) and how much you can sell it for. Develop the tools to answer these questions in this hands-on workshop with The Carrot Project, Young Farmer Network, and Southside Community Land Trust.
Day 1 (April 2, 4pm-6pm) introduces the tools you’ll use; on Day 2 (April 9, 4pm-7pm) you’ll work in small groups to apply these tools to your own farm business.
Registration fee of $25 includes course materials, light refreshments, and access to 1:1 advising after the training ends. The course is two parts — make sure you can attend both days before registering. Space is LIMITED!
Please contact youngfarmernetwork@gmail.com if you need a scholarship to cover the registration fee or if we can do anything else to make the workshop more accessible to you.
