The Armory Farmers Market is open rain or shine! Join us on Providence’s West End (9 Parade St) for an afternoon treat, or dinner and groceries on your way home from work. Bring the dog! Bring the whole family! Add a little fun to your week 3:30 – 7:00pm (or dusk) — every Thursday through October! #ArmoryMarket is where community gathers in the park.

Beer Garden, Sidy Maïga & Afrimanding, Kids Activities!

WBNA Westside Thursday Immerse yourself in the world music fusion of Sidy Maiga and Afrimanding, bringing West African drumming infused with hip-hop and the Caribbean to our West Side Thursdays free summer concert series. This event also welcomes Providence Children’s Museum with free kids’ activities, and ALL the offerings of the Armory Farmers Market including Beer Garden by Revival Brewing Company and Troop, food trucks/vendors, rentable bocce ball and chess sets, and more! West Side Thursdays bring neighbors together while showcasing local artists and musicians, and are a great way to let off a little summer steam. 3:30-7pm: Farmers Market! 5:30pm: Featured musical performance by Sidy Maiga and Afrimanding, PLUS Kids’ Activities with the Providence Children’s Museum! 5-7pm: Beer Garden by Revival Brewing Co, powered by Troop ABOUT THE ARTISTS Sidy Maïga and Afrimanding bring the sounds of traditional Malian percussion together with cross-cultural fusion for an electrifying experience. Based in Rhode Island, Sidy Maïga is an award winning drummer originally from Mali, West Africa, who specializes in djembe and dunun. Maïga performs solo all over the world and with his band, Afrimanding, which combines the best of West African percussion traditions with the modern rhythms of hip-hop and the Caribbean.
