Georgeara Castañeda-Garza moved to Rhode Island in 2017 to attend Brown University and graduated in 2022 with a degree in Religious Studies. They call Laredo, TX home and growing up on the US-Mexico border is a large reason behind the importance of access and education in Georgeara’s work. Being a first-generation college student and working class artist has emboldened them to ensure that our future students are empowered to pursue their dreams at any age! Outside of this role, they’re a newborn photographer at W&I and spending this fall taking a stained glass class and a neon glass class.
