Genevieve’s interest in food systems began while working in the local culinary scene in Providence. It was a formative experience to see first-hand all the moving parts in restaurant operation, while being surrounded by food-oriented people! Then there was a great moment of reckoning during the lockdown of 2020, when she was left to reflect on both the interconnectedness and the vulnerabilities of those systems. Nowadays, she is drawn to the agricultural tech space and particularly moved by the issue of food waste. She is pleased to have found marvelous company working on the Market Mobile team. As for her free time, she’s still searching for a “creative” hobby — suggestions are welcome!
