Jan 12 at our Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers Market

January 11, 2019

Join us at the Hope Artiste Village, 1005 Main Street in Pawtucket (Click for map.), 9:00am to 1:00pm for the largest farmers market of its kind in New England!

VENDOR SPOTLIGHT

This week, while our weekly food trucks Mijos LA-Style Tacos and Rocket Fine Street Food are taking some much-deserved time off, we wanted to make sure you meet this great new addition to our January prepared food options — HG80!

HG80

Untraditional Flavors of Tacos, Chips, and Truck-Made Sodas Made From Scratch
The mission of HG80 is to make people happy — even for just a moment. I want to foster a stress-free environment where you can be yourself, let your creative side show, and have a good time doing it. A meal at HG80 should be entertaining, engaging, interesting, and fun. It should be a lighthearted experience — a moment of whimsy and amusement with creative, surprising food in an interactive environment.

Seriously, what’s with the name? In 2004, I adopted the most amazing greyhound from a rescue group in Dallas. He was a fast dog. He needed a fast name. I called him Mercury, and he was my best friend (ok, second best after my wife) for 10 years. HG80 is named in Mercury’s memory. On the periodic table, Hg80 is the atomic symbol and number for the element mercury. He was a rescue dog, and I’ll donate a portion of profits to local animal rescue groups.

Important Notes: EVERYTHING is gluten-free. We make everything from scratch. Sauces? Yep. Chips? Check. Sodas? You know it! We source as many ingredients as possible locally. Tortillas are made at La Mexicana Tortilleria and ingredient suppliers include Radical Roots Farm, Baffoni’s Poultry Farm, Sanctuary Herbs, Sidewalk Ends Farm, Maplewood Farm, and Lost Art Cultured Foods.

—Josh, Owner

THIS JUST IN FROM SOME OF OUR VENDORS

Harvest Kitchen

Ground Beef and Pâté Specials
This week, our all natural (“Step 5”) grass-fed ground beef is on sale for $4.99/lb (regular $8.99/lb) — while supplies last! Plus, buy 1 of our pâtés and get a second one at half price (50% off).
— Frank, PV Farm Stand

Harvest Kitchen

Mushroom Barley Soup & Cheddar-Rosemary Gougères
The soup at the market this week will be our Mushroom Barley accompanied by the most delicious Cheddar-Rosemary Gougères. If you don’t know these classic French treats, they are basically baked cheese puffs — think cream puff or eclair dough, only cheese-y and rosemary-y!
— Chef Sean, Harvest Kitchen

COMPOST PICKUP

  Bring your food scraps!
Earth Appliance Organics will pick up food waste at the farmers market. Look for two collection bins by the front of the market on Main Street, and one by the rear side door on Dudley Street.

EXTENSIVE SELECTION OF LOCAL FOODS

The market features a wide variety of locally grown produce, poultry, meats, and cheeses; locally caught fish and shellfish; baked goods and prepared foods; value-added items like salsas, jams, sauces, ferments, pickles, kimchi, and krauts; self-care products, decorations, and seasonal gifts; and so much more!

With two long, connected hallways filled with vendors — which we refer to as the Green hallway (1005 Main Street entrance) and Yellow hallway (999 Main Street entrance) — there’s something for everyone at the Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers Market!

FARMERS MARKET MAPS

Overview Map The market layout inside the building, with surrounding streets and parking. PLEASE NOTE: Until Further Notice, the hill along the side of the building connecting Dudley Street to Esten Ave — where the large parking lot is behind the market — is closed to vehicles (open to foot traffic) due to construction. This is unfortunate but unavoidable. Rest assured we will be excited to share the news the minute the hill is reopened, so stay tuned.

Use Alternate Route To access the large parking lot behind the market, take Moshassuck St or Warren Ave to Esten Ave.
