Nov 17 at the Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers Market

November 15, 2018

Join us at the Hope Artiste Village, 1005 Main Street in Pawtucket (Click for map.), 9:00am to 1:00pm for the largest farmers market of its kind in New England!

THIS JUST IN FROM SOME OF OUR VENDORS

Barden Family Orchard

As a dose of reality… only crab apples were available in North America in 1621 at the time of the first Harvest Feast! Subsequent Jamestown colonists, missing their sweet apples so much, decided to bring apple trees over with them. The first American orchard was planted in 1625, very shortly after the Pilgrims arrived, and it was located on Beacon Hill in Boston. Although apples were not part of the original Thanksgiving meal, apple pie, thankfully, has become an American tradition.

We’ll have at least 10 apple varieties to mix into your pie, apple slaw, or other casserole creation. While you’re at our stand, you can also pick up some delicious Barden Family Orchard sweet apple cider for your contemporary feast. Happy Thanksgiving to all from the Bardens!!
— Sandie, Barden Family Orchard

Cluck & Trowel

GMO-free, pasture-raised, BONE-IN PORK CHOPS, only $12.50/lb! We are offering an amazing discount on our GMO-free pasture raised pork! This Saturday only, get a 10% discount on humanly-raised BONE-IN PORK CHOPS. Each package has two frozen pork chops, sliced to the medium thickness of 1-inch. Email us to place an order for pick-up at the market!
— Sarah, Cluck & Trowel

TGF Baked Goods

Our first market back in Pawtucket was off the charts! We sold out of our savory scones, many of our muffins and cookies, and nearly all our bread. But the best part, as always, is talking with the people who stop by our booth. For the market on the 17th we will have many of the same items: our cookies, muffins, scones, biscuits, and of course BREAD. We may also have Raisin Bread, and as a sweet alternative we are making a Bread Pudding. Since this market is close to Thanksgiving, we will have Buttermilk Biscuits to go along with that holiday meal. Anyone wishing to pre-order bread, biscuits, or other items can contact us via email.

COMPOST PICKUP

  Bring your food scraps!
Earth Appliance Organics will pick up food waste at the farmers market. Look for two collection bins by the front of the market on Main Street, and one by the rear side door on Dudley Street.

EXTENSIVE SELECTION OF LOCAL FOODS

The market features a wide variety of locally grown produce, poultry, meats, and cheeses; locally caught fish and shellfish; baked goods and prepared foods; value-added items like salsas, jams, sauces, ferments, pickles, kimchi, and krauts; self-care products, decorations, and seasonal gifts; and so much more!

With two long, connected hallways filled with vendors — which we refer to as the Green hallway (1005 Main Street entrance) and Yellow hallway (999 Main Street entrance) — there’s something for everyone at the Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers Market!
