Our neighbors here in the Hope Artiste Village building in Pawtucket, The Empowerment Factory, are hosting family friendly healthy events every Saturday after the Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers Market (which runs 9am – 1pm).
Join this fun group as they walk inside the hallways of the Hope Artiste Village — an historic renovated mill building with a bustling community and expansive hallways. While it may be cold outside, the temperatures will be just right for walking inside.
Meet at The Empowerment Factory (999 Main Street, Unit 707), and at 1:30pm together the group will walk for 30 minutes. Then at 2:00pm, we will regroup and gather inside The Empowerment Factory’s studio to enjoy a cup of soup and get to know one another.
The goal of this event is to:
- Launch a community initiative that brings people together
- Start the discussion about how to expand this to walking clubs for seniors, professionals, youth, and families
- Develop a networking community of individuals interested in building healthier lifestyles
The Hope Artist Village also includes retail shops, art studios and galleries, a bakery, a coffee roaster, The Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame, and an old fashioned bowling alley (Breaktime Bowl & Bar).
