Funding for the estimated $14 million project is coming from four major sources: public sector (city, state and federal); corporate and foundation; private philanthropy and New Markets Tax Credits. Each sector accounts for between $3 – 4million. To date, a little over half of the funding has been identified, leaving approximately $6.6 million to be committed by the end of this calendar year, 2017. In addition to individual donors and tax credits, we are especially appreciative and thankful to our early supporters who include: The Rhode Island Foundation, The Henry P. Kendall Foundation, City of Providence, RI Department of Environmental Management, Commerce RI, and the US Conference of Mayors/Wells Fargo.
