Sides of beef and whole hogs are now available on Market Mobile! Start your new year off with a whole Berkshire pig or side of beef from Blackbird Farm!
This may be a cost efficient and sustainable way of offering different beef and pork options to your customers. The sides of beef are 300-350 lb. and hogs are 210-250 lb. Both are cut to order and available at $7 per pound. The poundage is determined by the weight of the animal at harvest. After paying a deposit, you then work with Ann Marie, the farmer, to decide on the cuts that you want. The beef takes ~8 weeks to process and the pork takes ~6 weeks to process.

Founded in 1998, Blackbird Farm is a 100-acre farm located in Smithfield, RI, run by Ann Marie and Kevin Bouthillette. Their cattle are finished with non-GMO grains that are mixed at the farm. Pigs are fed with non-GMO corn and soybeans, and no hormones or antibiotics are ever used.
Freezer Storage
Berkshire hogs arrive in approximately three boxes. The sides of beef arrive in approximately five boxes. We are able to offer freezer storage at our Packhouse in Pawtucket for a monthly fee for these larger products, as we acknowledge that all customers may not have adequate freezer space to store multiple boxes.
