Grace grew up in New Jersey and studied botany and food systems at the University of Vermont. She spent her summers in college working on a diversified vegetable farm and as an event server for a farm-to-table catering company. She has always loved cooking and baking, and believes that nutritious, local food should be accessible to all. After graduating, Grace has been an outdoor educator on Prudence Island, RI and in the redwood forest of California. She is passionate about garden-based education that connects students to their local food systems in a fun, impactful, and often musical way. Outside of work, you’ll find Grace hiking with her dog, Georgie, going to the beach, practicing yoga, and trying to keep up with the 10 different crafts she’s started. Grace is so excited to join the Farm Fresh RI team and to bring meaningful, food systems education to students and the larger Rhode Island community.
