Carmen grew up in the southern Adirondacks and has called Providence home since 2018. Carmen graduated from Brown University with degrees in Ecology and Visual Art and is deeply passionate about food. She fell in love with farming in 2020, when she spent a season growing industrial hemp in the Pacific Northwest. As a Gleaning Associate with Hope’s Harvest, Carmen is excited to get her hands dirty and help fellow Rhode Islanders access delicious, locally grown produce! Outside of work, you can find Carmen making electronic music and hanging out with her chinchilla (and best friend), Bella.
