She went on to work on food access programs in New Haven as an AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator with CitySeed, helping to develop their first mobile farmers market. Cara graduated with a joint master’s degree in Public Health and Environmental Science from the School of Public Health and the School of the Environment at Yale, focusing on food systems and health. She is committed to supporting community-oriented food access programming that will positively impact Rhode Island.
