Caleb grew up in Washington, D.C. and moved to Rhode Island with his family after high school. He is an avid oarsman, having rowed for Colgate, Boston College, and Narragansett Boat Club. After graduating from Boston College, Caleb earned his Master’s degree in American Studies from Brown University, where he studied American philosophy and sociolinguistics. Caleb’s interest in food security stems from his experience volunteering on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, where he worked for six summers renovating homes and forming relationships with members of the community. There he learned about the systemic food crisis affecting Plains Indian tribes and the importance of nutritional advocacy. In that vein, he is very excited to work for Farm Fresh and looks forward to learning effective strategies for strengthening local food systems.
