Aparna is originally from the northwest suburbs of Chicago and moved to Rhode Island from Minneapolis after graduating from the University of Minnesota, where she majored in Agriculture and Food Business management. While in school she interned both in the public and private sectors and was able to narrow down her interests after being exposed to a variety of food systems. Now she’s heavily interested in regenerative, local, and all things sustainable/community-oriented when it comes to agriculture. In her spare time, she likes, trying new restaurants/cafes, doing amateur photography, and learning about local history through museums and tours.
