NATIONAL SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE COALITION
America’s family farmers work hard year-round to ensure that all of our families have access to healthy, safe, and abundant food. Every year, the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition (NSAC) helps farmers and ranchers go to Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. and speak about the programs and policies most important to them. With the 2018 Farm Bill on the horizon, and a Presidential Budget that seeks to gut the sustainable food and farm movement, bringing farmers’ voices into the national policy debate is now more important than ever. This March, NSAC is hosting its first of several 2018 farmer fly-ins – and plan to bring in over 20 farmers and ranchers from across the country! This is no small feat, but with so much at stake, NSAC knows it’s got to pull out all the stops.
FOODTANK: THE THINK TANK FOR FOOD

Our capital is humming with food systems activity, housing an array of organizations involved in international, domestic, and local food and agriculture work — from farms to restaurants, nonprofits, and beyond. The 2018 Food Tank Summit, “Cultivating the Next Generation of Young Food Leaders,” will be held in partnership with the George Washington University, the World Resources Institute, the National Farmers Union, Future Farmers of America, and the National Young Farmers Coalition on February 28, 2018. The event is sold out, but you can still join the conversation by tuning into Foodtank’s live-stream on FoodTank.com and the Foodtank Facebook page.
