Our friend and volunteer Jessica Watson came by the Harvest Kitchen in December to snap some photos of our youth job readiness class in action. Below are some of our favorites — thank you Jessica!
Even through the COVID pandemic, in 2021 Harvest Kitchen has been able to continue working with and supporting over 35 youth over the course of four class sessions. Our youth gained many valuable skills in their time with us ranging from food prep and cooking to financial literacy and college application process.
We were lucky to work with such great partner organizations for both internship opportunities and for youth mentorship, such as Southside Community Land Trust, Groundwork RI, Building Futures, Mentor RI, Urban Greens Co-Op Market, EP Kitchen, Atrium on Main, and Bayberry Garden! Here’s looking forward to another exciting year!
