February 3 at the Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers Market

February 2, 2018

Join us for the largest indoor farmers market in New England, 9am to 1pm every Saturday through April 2018! The market features a wide variety of locally grown produce, poultry, meats, and cheeses; locally caught fish and shellfish; baked goods and prepared foods; value-added items like salsas, jams, sauces, ferments, pickles, kimchi, and krauts; self-care products, decorations, and seasonal gifts; and so much more!

This Saturday at the Market

EXTENSIVE SELECTION OF LOCAL FOODS

With two long, connected hallways filled with vendors — which we refer to as the Green hallway (1005 Main Street entrance) and Yellow hallway (999 Main Street entrance) — there’s something for everyone at the Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers Market! See a full rundown of this season’s vendors.

GET READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL

It’s Super Bowl weekend, and whether you’re a football fan or not, there may be some celebratory eating in your future. Stock up on everything you need to snack your way through the big game or feed a large group of hungry fans.

Jack’s Snacks, a Dog Bakery, has been with the Wintertime Farmers Market from its very start (even back when it was hosted at AS220 in Providence!). Owner Marni bakes her treats without preservatives, additives, sugar, or salt — and puts in a whole lot of love and local ingredients! Check out her wide variety of products from Woofie Pies and Puppycakes to Ruffins, FroYo, and of course her signature gourmet dog treats (shaped like footballs, while supplies last!).

Be sure to check with other vendors throughout the market for Super Bowl specials. For example: Meadow Stone Farms will be turning up the heat this weekend with their ever so popular hot pepper cheese, “Laura’s Labor.” They will also be bringing, Wasabi, Horseradish Smoked Paprika, and Jalapeño Goat Cheese. Plus, save $0.50 off of their delicious Cheese Curds!

Edible Rhody has pulled together some of their favorite local game-day recipes.
They look super yummy! Check them out and prepare your shopping list before the farmers market:

  • Tallulah’s Carne Asada Tacos
  • Farmers’ Mac ‘n Cheese
  • Peach Barbecue Ribs
  • Corn and Poblano Hush Puppies
