It’s National Farm to School Month, and there’s no better time to bring together the community in a celebration of the food ties that bind us all together. Anyone can get involved in Farm to School activities — from students and parents, to teachers and administrators, to farmers and food service professionals. Add a lesson about farming to your class, serve local foods on your menu, advocate for more Farm to School activities in your school, or visit a farm. The possibilities are endless!
We are proud to be a core member of the National Farm to School Network and to be celebrating National Farm to School Month here in Rhode Island. Celebrations look different throughout the state’s districts, charter and private schools. There are numerous ways to celebrate in your classroom, cafeteria, community, and at home.
