We are excited to share that we have recently taken on a new Farm to Community Program Director — Stephanie Bush! Stephanie will be managing our Nutrition Education and Farm to School programs. This includes a NEW Farm to School Grant from the USDA that will allow us to pilot comprehensive Farm to School programming in a few select districts in the state. Stephanie will also be participating in many of the exciting statewide Farm to School initiatives going on right now in Rhode Island. Welcome Stephanie!
We are also very grateful to be able to take on a new year-long Fruitful Data Systems AmeriCorps VISTA member — Melissa Fineman. Melissa is from California and has a passion for global health and education. She is currently working on learning all about our on-the-ground programs. Then she will take the information she gains to coordinate between programs and build capacity for our Nutrition Education and Farm to School data systems so that we can share all of our great work with the world! Melissa will also be instrumental in helping to build baseline data for our new USDA Farm to School Implementation grant. (Thank you USDA Farm to School Grant Program!)
