Farm to School & Community Education enhances people's connection to local food, agriculture, nutrition, and the environment through hands-on education. Farm Fresh RI delivers information for making healthy food choices aligned with an individuals' values, health, and culture. We offer these services in diverse settings statewide, such as K-12 schools, libraries, preschool and daycare facilities, community centers, farms, senior centers and residences, and farmers markets.

What We Offer
We are the community's go-to for the local food system, providing a range of services and programs. The Community Education team offers programming beyond school, including cooking demonstrations at senior centers, farmers markets activities, summer camp programs, and outreach at local events. We're here to connect you with local farms, locally grown food, and valuable resources!

Our Community Education programming is focused around connecting community members of all ages to local food and sharing knowledge of how fresh, locally-grown ingredients fit into a healthful lifestyle. We provide this education in a wide variety of settings from farmers markets and libraries to summer camps and senior centers.
Our Community Education team empowers participants to make informed food choices while contributing to the local economy. We offer one-time workshops or series-based programming covering food literacy, cooking education, gardening, and food justice for schools, senior centers, community organization, and libraries. All programming ios hands-on, interactive and fun — providing tangible options to explore local agriculture and our relationships with food.
