Beautiful Day is a gourmet granola company on a mission. Located on the East Side of Providence, their mission is to help refugees enter the local job market through their job training program. Rhode Island has a growing refugee community and with that comes a growing demand for refugee job training resources. Beautiful Day was established to help arriving refugees with job training and mentoring.
The goal is for Beautiful Day trainees to eventually enter the job market and become self-sufficient members of their communities. Beautiful Day granola, granola bars, and coffee are all natural, small batch, craft-roasted, and come in over 10 varieties including a monthly seasonal flavor. The flavors and recipes are inspired by the staff at Beautiful Day and their rich, culturally diverse backgrounds. Whether you prefer super chunky, sweet, savory, or super healthy, there is a variety for every palate. Vegans will enjoy Super Originola muesli made without oil, naturally sweetened, completely vegan, and loaded with berries, nuts, and grains.
In addition to delicious bags of granola, Beautiful Day offers granola bars in six flavors including Keith’s Originola, Mochaccino Hazelnut, Bananas Foster, Bourbon Pecan, Pistachio Cardamom, and Salted Mango. Looking to the future, Beautiful Day’s vision is to expand their operations and job training as well as increase the variety of products offered. McLaughlin explains they want to “continue providing opportunities to keep up with what’s needed in society.” Through their work, many refugees who came to America with dreams of safety and opportunity yet found barriers to self-sufficiency are now fulfilling their dreams. Beautiful Day is making a difference in the lives of refugees settling in RI while providing Rhode Islanders with delicious, high-quality and healthy products in the process.
