April 21 at the Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers Market

April 20, 2018

Join us for the final TWO Saturdays (4/21 and 4/28) at the largest indoor farmers market in New England, 9am to 1pm! The market features a wide variety of locally grown produce, poultry, meats, and cheeses; locally caught fish and shellfish; baked goods and prepared foods; value-added items like salsas, jams, sauces, ferments, pickles, kimchi, and krauts; self-care products, decorations, and seasonal gifts; and so much more!

EXTENSIVE SELECTION OF LOCAL FOODS

With two long, connected hallways filled with vendors — which we refer to as the Green hallway (1005 Main Street entrance) and Yellow hallway (999 Main Street entrance) — there’s something for everyone at the Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers Market! See a full rundown of this season’s vendors, including who will be rotating on or off each week.

CUSTOMER SURVY

Did you shop at the Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers Market during this 2017–2018 season? We want to hear your thoughts! Visit us tomorrow at the front of the Green Hallway to fill out a short survey about this season at the Pawtucket market in person. Or click here to complete the survey online. Each person to complete the survey will be entered for a chance to win $50 in Fresh Bucks to spend at RI farmers markets!

BLOOD DRIVE

The Rhode Island Blood Center will outside the farmers market tomorrow collecting blood donations. All donors will receive a FREE reusable shopping bag — and be entered into a drawing for a chance to win two tickets to see Taylor Swift’s July 27th concert at Gillette Stadium!

SPRING BOOK SALE

Our upstairs neighbor at the market, award-winning local children’s book author Mark Binder will be hosting a spring clearing sale at his studio (Go up either of the front staircases to the second floor, and look for the signs).

What’s on offer? Some items rare. Some are out of print. Some are just awesome to read and share. This is a great opportunity to get your fresh seafood and local veggie shopping done at the farmers market downstairs, and take home a few signed books for your family and friends upstairs.

Fan Special: Visit Mark’s studio and mention this newsletter to get a free Cinderella Spinderella eBook Gift Card — no purchase necessary. Just be sure to say Hi.

COMPOST DROP-OFF & SALE!

You nay know that local composter Earth Appliance Organics picks up household food waste outside the farmers market every Saturday. But tomorrow they will also be selling bags of finished compost — perfect for your spring gardening!

To buy compost: Visit the Earth Appliance Organics table in the Green Hallway (right near Poorboy Sharpening aka. The Blade Whisperer!)

To drop-off food waste: Simply collect your food scraps (please, no non-food items) and bring them to the marked bins on Dudley Street, which runs alongside the Hope Artiste Village building, where the farmers market is held. You’ll see a small green space and a big row of compost bins! If your compost is traveling in a container or plastic bag, please dump the contents into the bin (and dispose of the container or plastic bag elsewhere).

GOT FEEDBACK?

We strive to make our farmers market customer and vendor experience great each market day. Feel free to tell us what you like about the farmers market so we can keep up the good work, and please let us know if you have any thoughts of suggestions on what we could do to make the market even better. What’s on your mind?
